Dear Highland Ridge neighbor,
In talking with many of you over the past few months it seems like the time for a Homeowners Association is upon us. In conversations Sherrill and I have had with some of our Highland Ridge neighbors, we have found that a few individuals have been researching how to start an association for us, but not everyone is informed yet. Many of us have talked individually to John Hansen about this, but as a collective group we have not. We would like to see the process move forward but we are currently moving in separate directions, not as a group.
In order to foster better communication in our neighborhood I have set up an email group address so that we can all share information with everyone in the neighborhood and no one is left out unless they choose to be. If you elect to join the email group address, as I hope you will, you will receive all emails sent to that group address. Hopefully there will be at least one representative on the list from every household. This list is only open to those that live in the Highland Ridge neighborhood and its purpose is to include each member of the neighborhood in all information regarding the HOA.
The idea is that if someone has a comment, info, news, or issue, we have a quick way to reach everyone in the neighborhood. As we take steps toward creating a HOA, it will be important that everyone in the neighborhood knows what is going on, and this list will be a simple way to keep each household in touch. The purpose of the group address is to have an easy mechanism for open discussion and to pass ideas around. It is not a place to make decisions.
Email group address is:
To join the list (and please do, I can think of no reason not to join), send the name, email address, and street address of each person in your household who would like to be on the list to:
Additional details may be posted here later if we all decide to:
If by chance you do not have email access, please give me a call or stop by and we can figure something out.
Once we have a HOA in place, there may not be a need for such an email list or there may be a better way to communicate. At that time we can shut down the list or set it up on a server that is owned by the group if everyone elects to do so. Whatever the case, my hope is that this list helps our neighborhood get an association together in a painless manner with each household feeling equally informed and involved in the decision making process.
Looking forward to our HOA and a great summer,
Gary Giusti
